Cardboard Baffles

Cardboard Vents or Baffles function much like the extruded foam baffles. They are made from corrugated stock that has been slotted and scored so that they can be easily folded and stapled to prevent insulation from spilling into the soffit area. Small quantities (50) can be shipped via UPS or Fed Ex, but generally they are sold by the thousand and shipped by common carrier.

Cardboard Baffle Upgrade: Double Laminated Attic Baffle

These all plastic double laminated attic baffles come in three sizes: 16" x 23", 24" x 23", and 24" x 33" and are used in place of cardboard baffles. They offer many advantages over the cardboard baffles as they are extremely light weight, moisture resistant, and fungus, mold and mildew resistant.

2400 Baffles/Pallet

The 16" x 23" baffles come two to a sheet and are perforated down the center for ease of separation. The true overall dimensions of the sheet are 35" x 23". The true dimensions of each baffle are 17.5" x 23". There are 1200 sheets or 2400 baffles on each pallet. There are 100 sheets to a bundle (200 baffles).

The actual dimensions of the 24" x 23" baffle are 25.5" x 23". There are 100 baffles in a bundle and 2400 baffles on a pallet.

The actual dimensions of the 24" x 33" baffle are 26" x 32 5/8". There are 100 baffles in a bundle and 2400 baffles on a pallet.

Extruded Vents (Baffles)

Extruded Vents, VN-10002, are light-weight, flexible, economical and are easily installed with staples. The vents are 48" long. They are 22" wide, including a staple flange on each side, for use in 24" on center areas. The 22" wide vents are perforated down the center, so that the vent can be snapped in half for use in 16" on center areas. They won’t warp, rot or discolor. The 22" vents (doubles) are sold in bags of 50. Extruded Vents in small quantities are shipped via UPS or Fed Ex, 2 bags to a box. Larger quantities are shipped on pallets via common carrier. Depending on the ship point, there are either 1500 or 1100 vents per pallet.
